My name is Liz Henson, well Liz Hall now I’m married and I’m a photographer based in Rossendale, Lancashire. I love getting creative with my camera gear. Whether it be getting the right images for companies to help them be seen and give the business or service the right images for them or capturing those special moments at a one off event. That’s what I enjoy doing.
You may be wondering why there is a picture of myself at the top of this blog post. Well, I realised I didn’t have a great profile picture that allowed you to put a face to my name. Below are two images, which I have been previously using which I like as they show me in ‘action’, but my face cannot be clearly seen. I felt updating the image and was very important, as it will allow people to recognise me for my digital presence on Twitter and LinkedIn and if we were to meet in person.
Your next thought may be how does a photographer get a profile picture of themselves? As my Mum asked me, “Is it a selfie?” Actually it is! I set up my background and lighting in my conservatory at home. My camera was poised on the tripod which was connected to my laptop to see how the images were turning out. 120 images later I had 4 that I was pretty happy with.
So I can empathise when sitters are nervous and are wanting to get the best images possible.
